Brietta participated in Screen Australia’s audience design workshop with Sile Culley as part of the late stage development process for Uplift Kabul.

Brietta’s recent documentary short Not In My Name distributed on Al Jazeera English’s Witness program.

2023

Very happy to announce that Screen NSW has contributed development funds to Uplift Kabul as part of their Slate Funding for 2023.

Brietta to write and direct feature film Uplift Kabul with Causeway Films. The story moves between Kabul and Sydney and is based on real events that occurred in the final days of the war in Afghanistan. The film has received development funding from Screen Australia.

Brietta Hague wins Best Director at Australian Director’s Guild Awards for Baltasar

Baltasar wins Best Film, Best Director and Best Screenplay at the Oscar-qualifying festival St Kilda.

Brietta Hague and Eric Campbell finalists in the mid-year Walkley awards for their Foreign Correspondent documentary The Cruel Sea.

2021

Baltasar wins the Film Victoria Erwin Rado award for Best Australian Film at the Melbourne International Film Festival.

Brietta Hague accepted into MIFF Accelerator Lab.
